Alloy Science is the science that gives weapons and staffs that are imbuned with specific alloys of simple and rare metals the ability to perform magical actions.

All Magical Alloys consists of a blend of three basic metal components, which are blend in specific ratios to one another to form Magical Alloys.

  • An Anchor Metal
  • A Resonator Metal
  • A Trace Metal

Anchor Metals

Metals that anchor the magical component to the weapon itself. Often a sturdy hardy metal, anchor metals keeps the weapon bound to it’s magical component and stabilizes any magical spells that are cast with it.

Basic Anchor Metals: Iron

  • Known for it’s versatility and solidness Copper
  • Known for it’s cheapness and ductility Lead
  • Known for it’s heavy sturdiness and balance Tungsten
  • Known for it’s powerful conductance of magic Aluminum
  • Known for it’s light weight and quick channeling

Resonating Anchor Metals: Resonating Anchor Metals are actually not anchor metals, as they are too weak or brittle to act as a good weapons core. However, when mixed with other metals, they form powerful Resonator Alloy

Common Resonating Metals: Bismuth

Resonating Layers

Resonating layers are a special layering of two different metals that occur outside the anchor metal core. Depending on which two layers are present, they can attune the channel of energy and mist within to shift to different hues of color, called “aspect”.

Normal Resonators Resonating Layers composed of normal alloys found underground. Typically the most common forms of Resonating Layers out there.

Duralumin

  • Aluminum + Copper
  • Red Aspect
    • Fire Damage

Rosesteel

  • Orange Aspect
  • Hard Rosesteel
    • Bismuth + Lead
    • Necrotic Damage
  • Soft Rosesteel
    • Bismuth + Tin
    • Psychic Damage

Electrum

  • Silver + Gold (RARE AND POWERFUL)
  • Yellow Aspect
    • Radiant Damage + Light Magic
