Notes:

The elusive and all, encompassing mist is perhaps spiritkind’s worst enemy, and greatest asset at the same time. It is also our driver of isolation, a conflicting thought I muse over during hours of pondering. The people in Arlemany seem to place too much fear into mentions of the mist, blinding them to how powerful and influential Mist Science can be. I remember having a discussion once with some of the peasants about the significance of the mist and what the mist means to our survival and livelihood. That interaction may have led me to the conclusion I have today, though to the credit of the uneducated, their intimidation to the mist is definitely cemented into their ways and thinking, rather than it being something personal. Maybe I was wrong about being too afraid of the mist, given the threat it has turned into since my last annotations in this scroll. The Preserver’s Senate hasn’t taken my warnings too seriously, which I think is a mistake. However, maybe further observations on my part might help convince them of what they don’t want to face.

Although, to fear the mist, and to panic from it, is perhaps two seperate things, I think.
