Mist Devices are devices that are used in the midst of the mists. Most of these devices are held by mist-adventurers who ventures into the mist. These range from location beacons, self-healing devices, detectors, and/or more.

Mistbeacon A mistbeacon, or mistprobe (small mistbeacon), is a powerful signal amplifier that produces a signal that travels through the mist. Mistbeacons are usually used by cities to output a constant location, which can be picked up by mistprobes or other mistbeacons. Exact details on how these mistbeacons and mistprobes work are hazy and not mentioned in this guide, however they can be very useful to adventurers braving the mists.

Mistbeacons generally look like a large steel machine block with a very long antenna at the end. They’re typically found near the gates of mistpaths, and act as a beacon for adventurers to see where entrance/exit points between the mist lands and mist-protected regions are.

Mistprobes, are the recieving end of Mistbeacons. They listen and look for signals emitted by mistbeacons, and displays them on a mist-powered display screen when in the mist. Mistprobes are typically handheld devices, typically consisting of a flat circular screen attached to a piece of conpressed machinery. A dial spins in the middle of the flat screen, and when in the presence of Mistbeacons, each time the dial points at a Mistbeacon a dot will light up, showing the distance the player is from the beacon.
