The connection allows a Sentient Companion to speak directly with their owner through a mutual neural link. The link is powered by a shared channeling of magic, which can be connected and severed by both parties. The Mists is also known to severely disrupt this power, which may cause headaches to both companion and host if a link is attempted in the abundant presence of the mist.
